Being “in the moment” and” out of the moment creates a rhythm. Connecting with students requires that teachers use the subjective experience of students, their background, etc, utilizing it to make them understand why a subject is important .to learn.

The word, “education” is educar in Latin; it means “to take out, and rightfully so. So when a student owns the learning, per se, adding their subjective labeling and understanding it in their model of the world, then they will have “taken out” something from the learning experience, thus owning what they have “taken out.”

This is well said. And I am now studying the 4mat model via online course. Using what I now know, I reflect on how I was taught and I see a lot teaching errors. Hey, ya' can't blame the teachers back then. They tried. But then again, all true teachers are always striving to improve their communications skills so as to make sure their students ' get it." And this is another purpose why I am learning the 4mat model.
